Partnerships for the Motherfood Colombia Microfactories Project 2022

It’s been a while since we shared our last updates about our progress in Colombia, but that doesn’t mean our work in this beautiful South American country has stopped. Today, we’re excited to present our partners on the Motherfood Colombia Microfactories Project 2022:

Alcagüete: a double-impact brand

In 2020, Motherfood International started a journey with Alcagüete, a Colombian food brand driven by the mission to deliver double-impact healthy snacks that help fight malnutrition while nourishing the body and the environment. Together during this time, we've joined efforts to create the most affordable, clean, locally relevant, and delicious bar recipe that can be produced and adapted at a smaller scale by women entrepreneurs to suit local needs, ingredient supply chain, and tastes.

World Vision Canada and World Vision Colombia

We are grateful for our partnership with World Vision Canada. They've played a key role in the Motherfood Project in Ghana and Colombia by contributing their deep and thoughtful experience in helping families build resources and livelihoods to address the underlying causes of poverty and nutrition insecurity. In this regard, World Vision Colombia (WVC) will be our implementing partner working in the cities of Bogotá (center region), Cali (southwest region), and Bucaramanga (northeast region).
