Updates from April 2022

In the last week of April, MotherFood International’s intern Mabel Kwofie traveled to Asante Akim, Ghana. Mabel participated in the manufacturing of nutrition bars with two women groups.

During her visit, she got a load of the challenging but rewarding entrepreneurship process that these groups of women are experiencing as a team by making and selling crunchy bites while playful children around get excited to receive and taste some. The visit also allowed the women and Mabel to discuss and help solve some struggles, for example, product hardness and difficulties when cutting the nut mix.

MotherFood International acknowledges these admirable groups of entrepreneurs motivated to run their own businesses while providing their communities with a tasty and nutritious snack. We acknowledge World Vision Canada and World Vision Ghana for the fruitful project execution and McGill University which funds Mabel’s internship in partnership with MotherFood International.
