Taste trials achieved 100% acceptability in Colombia

In 2018, together with support from Noble Foods, McGill University and RGC Coffee, MotherFood conducted trials of health bars in Huila, a known coffee region of Colombia. With input from local female coffee cooperatives, MotherFood created a unique, low-cost Colombian recipe designed for local palates that relied on micronutrients to establish international fortification standards to prevent malnutrition in women and adolescent girls of reproductive age. Colombia was the first country in which MotherFood tested products, starting with a nutritious bar made with rolled oats, corn, honey, and coconut. In all taste trials, these bars achieved 100% acceptability.
